We are a leading Freight Forwarding company looking for a seasoned professional to take on the role of Freight Forwarding Operations Director.
This position is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence within our Porto branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on process management, service delivery, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Satisfaction & Operational Excellence: Responsible for executing standard operational processes, ensuring proper process interfaces, and communicating with concerned parties for improvement.
- Business Development: Coordinate new business implementation with sales, ensure local sales development, retain and develop branch accounts.
- Management: People and team-management (staffing, development, discipline) for local teams, in accordance with Product managers/Sales Manager and HR.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with advanced knowledge of logistics processes and security procedures. Strong negotiation and leadership skills are essential, as well as the ability to motivate and develop others.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 7+ years working within the Freight Forwarding Industry, focusing on Operational Management and Service Excellence.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in management with P&L responsibility.
- Advanced knowledge of logistics processes and security procedures.
- Strong negotiator and leader with excellent communication skills.
