About the Role
We are seeking a Freelance Music Consultant to collaborate with our Portuguese Music Editor on playlisting and daily programming tasks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for basic translations and local context support for an important streaming client in Portugal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flagging market/cultural/musical inconsistencies among local content according to client guidelines.
- Supporting the client team in understanding musical contexts and landscapes.
- Meting deadlines for providing feedback and completing deliverables.
- Participating in weekly Google Hangout meetings with the client team.
- Providing occasional translations for Consumer and Artist Marketing projects.
- Monitoring the podcast space in the market.
About You
We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of current genres, top artists, and key trends. You should be able to provide insightful commentary on local music and actively use platforms where music is discovered by fans.
Requirements:
- Native Portuguese and fluent English.
- Background experience with social media platforms (TikTok, Youtube, Instagram).
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Team player with strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Client-facing experience.
