About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our team at Linde Plc. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations in the Iberian Peninsula across our various companies.
Key Responsibilities
You will participate in quarterly Compliance Committee meetings and provide regular reports on the status of our data privacy management system (Local CRB). Additionally, you will be responsible for recording movements of DPPOs in the One Trust system and collaborating with them to review personal data processing activities and create new Processing Activity Records.
You will conduct impact assessments together with DPPOs, utilizing external support when necessary, and maintain close liaison with them. Furthermore, you will create personal data processing agreements, joint control agreements, negotiate with external parties, and assist in documenting internal data transfers in accordance with our internal data transfer framework as well as clauses for different contracts related to personal data protection issues.
You will offer legal support in managing personal data processing activities while balancing other legal issues that may have an impact. You will also monitor incidents of personal data breaches and serve as the point of contact with our group's data protection officer.
Responsibilities include responding to incidents registered on the ISQR management platform within mandatory deadlines, both to ensure resolution and provide support to business areas. You will also deliver training to DPPOs on specific local data protection issues, adhering to procedures implemented by our local company, whether in Portugal or Spain. If no procedures exist, you will encourage DPPOs to create them.
You will offer support to the compliance area, acting as the local contact in Portugal for compliance issues and liaising with external entities (lawyers, when necessary). Lastly, you will respond to internal and external data protection audits and address any non-conformities independently.
About You
- You possess an Educational Background in law, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You hold a Professional Certification such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar credentials in data protection and privacy.
- You demonstrate several years of experience in data protection or a related field, focusing on EU GDPR and local data privacy laws.
- You have a solid understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to data privacy and protection.
- You are familiar with data protection and privacy technologies, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and other relevant software for managing data privacy tasks.
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
- You have strong analytical skills to assess data privacy risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- You are able to manage data privacy projects and initiatives from conception to implementation.

This role is a full-time position based on an unlimited contract, with standard weekly working hours from 08:00 hrs till 17:00 hrs.
Salary Estimate
We estimate the salary for this position to be around €65,000 - €85,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
