At Somaí Pharmaceuticals Ltd., we are seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage our financial operations in a dynamic and innovative environment.
About the RoleWe are offering a competitive salary of $60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, for this exciting opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable, expense management, and supplier relations within our medical cannabis startup.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and optimize accounts payable processes
- Develop and implement efficient expense management systems
- Ensure accurate posting of invoices on our financial system
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Significant experience with Microsoft Excel
- Strong computer literacy and adaptability to new software implementations
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as Sage or Primavera (ERP)
- In-depth knowledge of the Portuguese financial and tax system (Intrastat, IRS, VAT, RFAI)
- Professional level of spoken English; Portuguese is highly desirable
- Experience working in a start-up, preferably in the medical cannabis industry
- A minimum of 6 months of professional accounting experience
This role is based in Carregado, approximately 35 minutes outside Lisbon by car. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, opportunities for growth and development, and a competitive compensation package.
