About the Role
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be working closely with our engineering team to ensure the reliability, security, and availability of our digital platform. Your primary responsibility will be to configure and maintain our cloud-based platform to meet the highest standards of reliability, security, and availability.
You will be responsible for:
• Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based infrastructure using industry best practices such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps.
• Ensuring site reliability, security, and availability through end-to-end performance monitoring, service monitoring, alerting, capacity sizing, and planning.
• Implementing rules, access control policies, and routes in our microservices architecture.
• Troubleshooting issues and coordinating with the engineering team to streamline code deployment.
• Participating in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
The following technologies are required:
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Kubernetes
• Kustomize
• Helm
• Docker
• Flux CD
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration and Scripting (mainly bash and python)
• Experience with microservices development
• Experience with Gitlab CI
• Experience in monitoring tools
• Experience in networking, DNS, and load balancers.
Nice to Have
A strong background in Java, NodeJS, or network engineering is desirable. Additionally, experience with configuration management tools like Ansible would be beneficial.
