About the JobWe offer a 36-month employment contract with a competitive salary and benefits package, aligned with the living costs in each host country. The successful candidate will receive a financial package plus an additional mobility and family allowance according to the rules for Doctoral Candidates (DCs) in an EU Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Networks.
The estimated annual salary for this position is around €55,000 - €65,000, depending on your qualifications and experience.
Job DescriptionThis exciting opportunity focuses on developing advanced operational and maintenance strategies for wind turbines using machine learning and digital twin technologies. You'll design and implement innovative, data-driven approaches to enhance turbine performance and reliability.
- Create explainable frameworks for predictive maintenance using SCADA data to identify potential component failures.
- Develop digital twin frameworks that integrate real-time data for continuous health monitoring of wind turbines and their components.
- Predict remaining operational lifespan of turbines using probabilistic models that blend physics-based and data-driven techniques.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Master's degree or equivalent in Engineer with desirable specialization in Wind Energy (DC9); knowledge and experience in computer science and/or data science are welcome.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like pytest and unittest.
- Experience with databases like Timescale (PostgreSQL) and MongoDB.
