Chief Quality Assurance Officer for Luxury Retail Systems

Capgemini Portugal is seeking a Chief Quality Assurance Officer to lead its DevOps Platform in Lisbon, joining a prestigious and innovative company in the luxury industry.

Our Client owns esteemed Maisons recognized for their craftsmanship, creativity, and technological innovation. They aim to preserve their heritage and values while fostering growth and sustainability over the long term.

To leverage Lisbon's tech spirit and integrate it into their Tech Competence Centre, our Client seeks to reinforce its technical capabilities on cutting-edge technology and address business growth. Their Lisbon teams will be an extension of their central Group Platforms teams, fully integrated into the core technology workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Taking a leading role in delivering customer and client engagements, serving as the primary point of contact for quality assurance products. You will understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives, participating in pre-sales solution activities.

Collaborate closely with clients and Deployment Services to ensure delivery of services aligning with client requirements, effectively managing costs.

Lead a team of skilled engineers, guiding them in delivering efficient quality assurance capabilities across the product and service catalog.

Adapt quickly to rapidly changing client needs, ensuring our services remain relevant to evolving goals, utilizing agile methodologies.

Bridge the gap between client business needs and technical requirements, developing strategies addressing both.

Contribute to offering exceptional Cloud and DevOps Services (people, process, and technology) for customers.

Maintain a client-centric focus, ensuring high satisfaction and success with our products.

Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and procedures.

Define testing standards, ensuring adherence to best practices.

Conduct functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.

Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing and quality products and capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. or MSc in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Five years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with at least three years in a leadership or management role, including expertise in roadmap product definition, timesheet management, and agile methodology.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading engineering teams, inspiring, mentoring, and guiding a team of engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing situations.
  • Significant business acumen, connecting business goals with engineering solutions while considering cost management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in modern cloud architecture paradigms (e.g., microservices, serverless) and all aspects of DevOps (from methodological aspects of DevOps to technical elements such as CI/CD, containerization, and automation).
  • Experience with test automation tools like Tosca, Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
  • Proven experience working with Cloud and DevOps delivery initiatives and related cloud technologies & methodologies (agile).
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques, with hands-on experience in test automation.
  • Proficiency in using agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar. - Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and scripting languages for test automation.
  • Proficiency in English is required; and in French is a plus.
