Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Swahili-Kiswahili telephonic interpreter to join our team at Language Services Associates, Inc. As a telephonic interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in various settings, including medical, legal, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting services
  • Answer inbound calls in a timely manner and provide superior customer service
  • Adhere to our Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
  • Complete training(s) and participate in ongoing Quality Assurance monitoring

Requirements:

  • Full fluency in both English and Swahili-Kiswahili
  • Technology proficiency, including web-based platforms, email, and Microsoft Word
  • Landline phone access for sound quality
  • An interpreting space that is quiet, secure, and free from outside noises
  • 2+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
