Aquaculture Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Aquaculture Technician to support and assist in the operation and services of the Champalimaud Fish Platform. The selected candidate will join a dynamic team with a strong team spirit.

• Maintenance of recirculating aquaculture systems for multiple freshwater fish species and related equipment.
• Monitorization of water quality.
• Maintenance of live feed cultures.
• Crosses, housings, and embryo care.
• Larval rearing.
• Record keeping.
• Fish health checks.
• Technical assistance to researchers.

• Experience in recirculating aquaculture systems.
• Personal animal experimentation license.
• Prior work in a research environment.
