About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Legal Specialist to join our Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing legal support in various areas, including labor law, data protection, and contracts, across multiple markets. Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance while supporting the company's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal advice and support in areas like labor law, data protection, and contracts
- Streamline legal workflows using tools and automation to improve efficiency
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with partners, vendors, and clients, ensuring compliance
- Oversee data protection compliance by reviewing processes, policies, and agreements related to health data
- Support employment-related legal matters and labor law compliance
- Coordinate with external law firms and manage costs
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes that could impact Nutrium, proactively identifying risks and adapting policies and agreements
- Create and maintain legal templates and policies
- Train teams on legal and compliance topics
- Advise on new business models, partnerships, and products
- Manage intellectual property and trademarks
- Assist with due diligence and corporate governance
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (bar admission is a plus but not required)
- 3-5 years of experience in a legal role, ideally within a healthcare startup and/or corporate setting
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (other languages are a plus)
- Strong knowledge of commercial, corporate, and contract law (familiarity with labor law, fiscal law, and data protection is a plus)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to simplify legal concepts for non-legal teams
- Tech-savvy, and comfortable using legal tools and automation for efficiency
- Adaptable and proactive, ready to handle diverse legal challenges and seek support when needed
- Detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities
- Trusted with sensitive information, maintaining integrity and discretion
- Business-minded problem-solver, aligning legal processes with business goals
