TN Portugal seeks an experienced Process Improvement Expert to identify and implement process improvements in our Viana, Portugal production plant.

This position requires a strong understanding of process improvement principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and developing strategies to address them
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
  • Developing and implementing effective quality control processes
  • Identifying and addressing quality issues
  • Providing training and support to quality technicians/auditors/inspectors
  • Supporting the start of new projects and products
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Managing costs of quality assurance
  • Updating customer portals
  • Assuring reliability and consistency of production
  • Reporting/escalating major quality issues
  • Facilitating proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
  • Keeping records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation
  • Communicating with external quality assurance officers and customers
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Performing other duties and tasks as assigned
  • Complying with safety, quality, productivity, hygiene, and environmental prevention standards
  • Respecting workplace safety and cleanliness rules
  • Respecting and complying with environmental policy rules

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Two or more years of experience as Plant Quality Engineer and/or Customer Quality Engineer
  • Hands-on experience with statistical analysis
  • In-depth understanding of technical documentation
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
  • Additional certification in Quality Assurance (is a plus)
  • Minitab user (is a plus)
  • Results Oriented

  • Team spirit
  • Fluent in Portuguese
