Job Role: Digital Estate Manager at BAE Systems
As a Digital Estate Manager at BAE Systems, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of digital records related to the company's facilities and estates. This includes collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to obtain critical design information, producing CAD designs, and supporting the delivery of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing CAD designs in 2D and 3D, including feasibility, project delivery, and post-completion operational models/records
- Supporting new projects through timely provision of advice and undertaking design review of third parties in-line with standards
- Surveying buildings and infrastructure using traditional and laser scanning techniques to support 3D model generation
Requirements:
- Proven 2D and 3D CAD experience in the built environment, using packages such as Bentley MicroStation, Autodesk AutoCAD, and/or Autodesk Revit
- Awareness of workplace and building-related regulations
- Proficient in surveying techniques and the ability to record 'as is' plans and schematics
- Experience using visualisation software (Lumion) and point cloud scanning hardware and software (Faro/Leica)
