Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Compliance Officer to oversee our compliance functions. The ideal candidate will be a fluent Portuguese and English speaker with significant experience in the financial sector, particularly in compliance roles.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation and regulations.
  2. Risk Monitoring: Identify and report on potential compliance risks and breaches.
  3. Policy Development: Develop, implement, and review compliance policies and procedures.
  4. Training and Support: Provide compliance training and support to staff members.
  5. Regulatory Liaison: Collaborate with regulatory bodies and external auditors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
  • At least four years of experience in the financial sector.
  • Background in AML and compliance functions within a Portuguese financial institution.
  • Familiarity with EU jurisdictions and experience with compliance legislation within Portuguese law.

Availability and Work Schedule:

  • Must be available to dedicate at least 20 hours per week to this role.
  • Priority given to candidates with full-time availability.
