What will be your role We’re looking for a Data Governance Specialist to join our team for a high-impact initiative within a Data & AI Office , supporting a large group in the mobility sector. In this role, you will contribute directly to the Group’s Data Transformation Program, with a strong focus on Data Governance capabilities enabled by Microsoft Purview , helping to establish data as a trusted and valuable organizational asset, by: Collaborating with the Data Office to support the implementation of the Group’s Data Transformation Program, with strong emphasis on Data Governance practices; Supporting the integration of Data Governance across the full data lifecycle, leveraging Microsoft Purview capabilities such as data cataloging, classification, lineage, and access insights; Working closely with IT and Data Architecture teams to support the configuration, integration, and optimization of the Data Governance platform (Microsoft Purview); Contributing to the continuous improvement of Data Governance processes and tools by monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies; Supporting the ongoing construction and maintenance of the Data Catalog, ensuring accurate and up-to-date metadata, lineage, data discovery, and usage guidelines; Collaborating in the definition, monitoring, and reporting of data quality metrics and governance KPIs; Supporting the definition, implementation, and enforcement of Data Governance policies, standards, and best practices, including participation in periodic compliance assessments; Working closely with the CISO and DPO to ensure alignment between Data Governance, Data Protection, Privacy, and Security requirements; Engaging with business units, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and promote a collaborative and pragmatic approach to Data Governance; Supporting training and enablement initiatives for data owners, data stewards, custodians, and other stakeholders on Data Governance principles, tools, and practices; Contributing to organizational change by reinforcing a data-driven culture and positioning data as a strategic enterprise asset. What should you bring to the team? A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Management, Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field; Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview , including data cataloging, classification, lineage, metadata management, and policy enforcement; Experience with other Data Governance platforms (e.g. Collibra, Informatica) is considered a plus; Strong understanding of broader Data Management domains, such as Data Quality, Metadata Management, Master Data Management (MDM), Privacy, and Data Security; Experience in defining Data Governance operating models, roles (e.g. data owners, data stewards), and processes, and embedding them into business and technical teams; Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and organizational levels; A pragmatic mindset, balancing governance rigor with business enablement; Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Purview, Azure, Data Governance, or Data Management) are considered a strong advantage; Fluency in English.
