**UK Senior Actuarial Analyst (GMP)**

- Through the first 3-6 months, you will be provided adequate training and will be actively supported by your peers to help understand the ways of working.

**We will count on you to**:

- Work as part of a team on complex defined benefit modelling and GMP equalisation using advanced actuarial skills and techniques, specialising in complex UK pension solutions;
- Carry out non-standard scheme benefit calculations, and involvement in wider actuarial work including GMP equalisation and conversion calculations;
- Assist administration teams in understanding data requirements and complex new benefit structures that arise as a result of GMP equalisation;
- Contribute to continuous improvement by developing and delivering knowledge sharing / training / process improvement initiatives and co-ordinate new process rollouts across locations;
- Develop expertise in excel, VBA and Mercer in house technology enabling high quality IT and product solution development;
- Manage client work across multiple services with a focus on agility, allowing scalability and adaptability in the services and solutions we provide;
- Work in partnership and develop relationships with internal teams to deliver a streamlined service to other lines of business within Mercer;
- Exceed customer expectations by delivering business SLAs - Turnaround time, Accuracy, Productivity, etc.;
- Be flexible and adaptable - as the role will demand to switch between tasks and work on urgent ad-hoc requests.

**What you need to have**:

- Bachelor/ Master’s degree in engineering, math, actuarial science, statistics, economics, finance or related field;
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills (mandatory);
- Excellent planning and organizational skills;
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients;
- Willingness to give and receive feedback and work to improve efficiencies and processes where possible;
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (in particular a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel).

**What makes you stand out**:

- Experience working as an Actuarial Analyst with a deep understanding of DB pension schemes;
- A good understanding of GMP Equalisation ruling and how this applies to DB pension schemes;
- Experience of working on individual member calculations, particularly benefit correction, benefit tranching, GMP Rectification or Equalisation.
