The M3D.Printer project aims to develop an integrated system for 3D pharmaceutical production, focusing on replacing liquid forms with orodispersible solid forms. This approach will enable personalized treatments according to specific patient needs, improving treatment efficacy.
This grant proposes the design, development, testing, and validation of a system for identifying and monitoring cartridges containing various components, weighing and controlling dosages, and communicating data to a process management platform.
To increase monitoring reliability, sensors with visual capabilities and wireless communications will also be used.

**Admission Requirements**:
1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related fields.
2. Be enrolled in a Master´s degree in course Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
3. Ability to work on the development of electronic circuits with microprocessors and wireless communications.
4. Proficiency in English (written and oral).

**Work Objectives**:
1. Selection of sensors, microprocessors, and other electronic components.
2. Design and development of electronic circuits.
3. Programming and testing of circuits, including wireless communications.
4. Integration and implementation of the circuit in the prototype.

The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at Coimbra, under the supervision of Prof. Sérgio Manuel Maciel de Faria and Prof. Telmo Rui Carvalhinho Cunha Fernandes.

**Duration**:
12 months, with the possibility of renewal. Start date: October 16, 2025 or soon thereafter.

**Monthly salary**:
