**The Work You’ll Do**:
The Senior Project Manager - AI Initiatives is part of the Product Transformation - Program Management Office (PMO) and serves as the alignment anchor and delivery driver for Sovos’ most strategic AI programs. Sitting at the intersection of product strategy, engineering execution, and business transformation, this role ensures every initiative has clear objectives, measurable key performance indicators (KPIs), defined roles and responsibilities, and agreed-upon milestones and timelines.

You will monitor progress against plan, proactively address risks, and work across teams to remove blockers that slow delivery. Acting as the central point of coordination, you’ll facilitate decision-making, guide stakeholders through change, and ensure that every AI initiative delivers tangible business outcomes on time, within budget, and to scope.

- More specifically you will:_
- Ensure each AI initiative directly supports Sovos’ strategic priorities and has clearly defined KPIs.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, GTM, and business leaders to define scope, success measures, roles, and responsibilities (RACI).
- Develop and maintain clear project charters, timelines, and deliverables.
- Drive progress by tracking milestones, dependencies, and KPIs, making proactive adjustments when needed.
- Lead regular internal and cross-functional status meetings to maintain alignment and transparency.
- Act as the first point of escalation for delivery risks, blockers, and cross-team conflicts.
- Facilitate timely decision-making to maintain delivery momentum.
- Proactively manage scope and priority changes, clearly communicating impacts, trade-offs, and decisions.
- Support organizational readiness and adoption for AI-driven changes across teams and products.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring traceability from intake through delivery.
- Identify risks early, assess their impact, and develop contingency plans.
- Address AI-specific considerations such as data readiness, model performance, compliance, and ethical guidelines.

**What We Need From You**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; technical or business-related field preferred.
- 5+ years managing complex SaaS or emerging technology projects; AI/ML delivery experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering high-visibility projects on time, within budget, and to defined KPIs.
- Experience with multi-country/multi-region project delivery.
- Strong understanding of project intake processes, portfolio governance, and execution discipline.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and model deployment (not required to be a data scientist).
- PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with PSA/project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving requirements.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
