We are more than 900 Frulacteans, bringing know-how to our clients from our sites in Europe (Portugal, France, Germany and Switzerland), North America (Canada) and Africa (Morocco and South Africa). Frulact’s headquarters are based in Maia, and the group is participated by Ardian, a world leading private investment company.
We are looking for a
**Quality Manager** for Frulact USA (Logan, Utah).
**RESPONSABILITIES**
- Control of documents referent to Quality and Food Safety System.
- Take part in the definition and review of sampling and analysis plans of RM and EP. Record the non-conforming bulletins of RM, ensuring that all the relevant information is sent to the entities involved in the non-compliance.
- Coordination of the HACCP team.
- Check the compliance of the HACCP plan as far as prerequisite programmes, operational control points and critical control points.
- Work with the production sector in order to define and implement actions in order to ensure the food safety of products.
- Propose improvements to carry out the daily tasks carried out in production area that may have impact on quality and food safety.
- Carry out the analysis of customer complaints and Internal NC and possible causes.
- Prepare and follow-up audits (internal and externals), and manage NC resulting from them, taking part in the definition of correction, preventive and corrective actions, and elaborate the necessary communication/answers within the defined timelines / timeframe.
- Carry out audits to suppliers, according to the allocation of audits to internal auditors in the scheduled annual audit programme, or according to specific need to carry out other audits.
- In charge of the Quality Control Laboratory - supervision of laboratory management, not only at the level of the compliance of the sampling and analysis control plan, and at the level of human and material resources, but also at the level of compliance of the annual budget.
- Follow up the industrial trials of the most critical products, in order to check whether they are in compliance with the defined specifications by R&D.
- Carry out continued training/awareness actions to all staff and supervising people as far as relevant procedures that have an impact on Quality and Food Safety System.
- Involve staff in NCs resulting from audits, claims, visits to Clients. Awareness actions as regards the relevance of fulfilment of the defined procedures that may result from the implemented actions.
**PROFILE**
- Degree or Master in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or related technical field.
- 3-year experience in similar role.
- Passion and interest in food safety and quality management.
- Independent, structured, and proactive working style.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Fluency in English is a pre-requisite, any other language especially French, German is a plus.
- Strong sense of responsibility, organization, and method.
- Capable of planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with Frulact goals.
- Proactivity, team spirit and conflict management.
- Proficiency in Excel and SharePoint knowledge is an additional asset.
