**Role Overview**

**We are looking for**:
As a **Treasury Operations Specialist** EMEA you will proactively manage and execute treasury operations in the EMEA region and In-House-Bank, providing expertise and support in the tactical execution of treasury management activities (cash management & banking, payments execution and financial / currency risk management). This position will report to the TSU Global Operation Manager and the Treasury Service Unit (TSU) belongs to the SBS organization.

You will add focus on incorporating automation and efficiency gains through the implementation of Treasury, Management System (FIS Quantum), continuous improvement in our operational processes, and delivering exceptional cross-functional and cross-departmental customer service and will be in daily contact with Banking partners of Solvay Group, you must be extremely rigorous and act with a high degree of integrity and ethics.

**We count on you for**:
Solvay In-House Bank (IHB) management
- Payment and Collection activities on behalf of Solvay affiliates
- Maintenance and continued expansion of payment factory and A/R factoring
- Provide technical and functional support to the Group entities regarding IHB questions
- Internal bank accounts follow up including interests calculation

Cash & forex management
- Cash release to banks requested by Corporate Treasury and other departments
- Ensure trades are successfully instructed and acknowledged: check, authorize, record & confirm trades, settlement instructions in strict respect of currencies cut-off times
- Check FX exposure & counterparty risks in respect of the limits set by Risk Management
- Daily bank account reconciliations

Bank accounts optimization
- Implementation of cash concentration, and pooling structures following liquidity optimization schemes defined by the International Treasury
- Preserve optimized banks and accounts landscape, identifying and deploying rationalization opportunities in the EMEA region, when appropriate
- Review fees statements & follow up on fees discrepancies with contracts

Treasury Projects
- Participate in Group transformation projects Power of 2, foreseeing the duplication of treasury infrastructure
- Enable the progressive decommissioning of Treasury Online Banking & Non-Standard Payment
- Implement a Business Continuity Plan with our main banks
- Other projects delivery

- Be able to build a positive reputation among key decision-makers assuming other responsibilities such as compliance of Treasury operations with group governance, global & local regulation, Maintaining up-to-date and enhancing the Group Treasury Operating Manual, Standard Operating Procedures related to the activities under the responsibility and Follow-up internal controls in scope.

**You will bring**:

- Degree in Finance Administration & about 5 years experience ideally in treasury operations with a large Corporate or within a banking environment
- Solid understanding of banking systems and international business, involving multi-currency transactions. Familiarity with the requirements and complexities of global payments transactions (of which Swift, banking tools...)
- Flexibility in working hours; typical treasury day starts from ~7 am until 4 pm
- Fluent in English, and other languages are considered an advantage
- Extremely rigorous and act with a high degree of integrity and ethics
- Highly analytical with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Process-driven, organized and produces results within defined deadlines. Interpersonal & communication skills Strong skills in Google/Microsoft Suites. Strong knowledge of SAP, Treasury Management Systems (Quantum), Payment platforms and Swift environment
