**Junior Database Administrator (m/w/d)**

**Your Mission**

We are seeking a dedicated Junior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our global IT team. Based in Portugal, this role offers exciting opportunities to work on an international scale, collaborating with team members across the world. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and maintain the health of our MS SQL Servers, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

**What you will do**
- Collaborate with the development team to design efficient and scalable database schemas and interactions
- Manage and proactively maintain our data stores, including monitoring and performance optimization
- Evaluate and improve existing database configurations, schemas, and queries to enhance performance
- Develop and implement data architectural patterns for storage, deployment, and maintenance, supporting Continuous Delivery
- Ensure data accuracy, security, resilience, and performance across all areas
- Identify and resolve database bottlenecks, optimizing queries and instances as needed

**What we expect from you**
- In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server databases, Integration Services, and related maintenance, recovery, and failover processes
- Familiarity with the Windows Server operating system
- General understanding of storage technologies and networking
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in an international environment with a geographically dispersed team
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
