**About the role**:
The mission of our People Partner, EMEA is to lead the strategic, remote-first talent management initiatives of Fortis across EMEA. You have excellent experience as a strategic people team business partner at senior levels within an organization and a proven record of working for a global company. You understand how to be successful in a remote-first company and thrive in creating great workplaces globally.
**What you'll achieve**:
- Lead and support Fortis' People Strategy & vision across all of EMEA and deliver people solutions aligned to our business objectives.
- Develop strong partnerships with Fortis leaders in EMEA to scale our talent management department in a remote-first, global studio.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner across our locations to coach on legal, hr policy and programs, employee relations, internal mobility, talent planning, performance management, and talent development issues.
- Champion of Fortis' values and DE&I efforts, and lead by example in everything you do.
**What you'll need to be successful**:
- 8+ years in HR related positions; a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years in management or leadership positions.
- Adaptive and experienced change partner who can proactively lead initiatives and customize initiatives in local markets.
- Natural collaborator - works well cross-functionally and builds and maintains strong stakeholder support.
- Willing to roll up sleeves and take a very hands on approach.
- Proven leadership in HR positions.
- Experience managing employee relations issues globally and able to guide leadership through conflict resolution.
- Fluency in English.
