**Payroll Specialist**
- **Location**: Porto, Hipercentro Areosa Business Park
**Hybrid Model**: Work from home/office (3 days in office)

**What’s the role about?**

GKN Automotive has created a Payroll Shared Service team in its Porto office supporting the EMEA region.

This role will directly have responsibility for **Portuguese Payroll**(processed as a managed service with our Payroll partner) and also for the **UK Payroll**(no prior UK experience required).

The role involves supporting **end-to-end payroll administration**, working with the business and our partner to ensure accurate and timely monthly payrolls. You’ll also contribute to establishing documented procedures for our newly set-up team, paving the way for future integrations.

✉️ **What you'll do?**
- End-to-end monthly payroll processing: input delivery, output and audit checks
- Timely collation of data to provide to the Payroll partner at agreed cut-off dates
- Performing detailed monthly checks (gross-to-gross, net-to-net), identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Managing post-payroll activities, including statutory filings and payment reconciliations
- Collaborating with local business partners to ensure accurate and timely data delivery
- Handling employee queries and resolving issues in a professional, timely manner
- Supporting report requests from HR, managers, and Finance
- Liaising with internal and external audit teams
- Developing relationships with key stakeholders
- Proactively solving problems and creating innovative solutions
- Providing quick support in urgent situations
- Assisting with the development of Oracle integration with Payroll partner software
- Driving improvements in payroll processes to enhance service deliveryTaking initiative to improve our Payroll offering

**What are we looking for?**
- Strong familiarity with **Portuguese payroll legislation**:

- Experience handling **monthly tax and social security filings**:

- Familiarity with **online portals**of Tax and Social Security agencies
- Experience in **managed payroll service environments**:

- Solid knowledge of payroll cycles, deadline management, and accuracy
- Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in **Excel**, **MS SharePoint**, and **Teams**:

- Experience working with **international stakeholders**:

- Project management experience and delivering impactful initiatives
- Experience within **Portuguese payroll processing**experience
- **Portuguese (fluent) & English (pre-intermediate), both verbal and written
