You will be a part of an all-star Product Management team that is responsible for shaping our Malwarebytes strategy, defining business requirements, and determining sprint priorities for our Endpoint Protection and Endpoint Detection and Response products. You will partner with other product managers and senior management to successfully deliver a final product to our customers. This position will work closely with engineering, marketing, user experience, program management, and customer success.
A successful technical product manager is an expert on their products with excellent communication skills to evangelize products internally across functional teams as well as externally to Malwarebytes. The ability to communicate the values of Malwarebytes solution by providing key use cases, product demonstrations, and roadmap presentations is key to your success. This role will report to the Director of Product Management.
**What You’ll Do**:
- Collaborate closely with EPDR and other Product Management to define and execute the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the Malwarebytes EPDR product line
- Act as the technical product expert for the Malwarebytes user interface technology stack
- Work with Growth and UI/UX teams to define new product experiences
- Translate high-level product features into epics and detailed user stories
- Own the Product backlog and implementation of user stories
- Build, prune and maintain the team backlog of epics, user stories, defects, refactors, infrastructure work
- Prepare and participate in release planning
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement sessions, and sprint reviews, and participate in retrospectives and daily standups
- Work closely with the scrum team to explain your user stories, make key decisions, negotiate trade-offs, and ensure on-track delivery of business value
- Ensure prioritized sprint teamwork focuses on delivering maximum value aligned with the overall product strategy
- Participate in beta programs and our public forums on ongoing basis
- Evangelize and defend the vision of the product with the development team on a day-to-day basis
- Advocate for users to ensure customer satisfaction and acceptance
- Maintain close relationship with the cross-functional team (Sales, Support, Marketing, Engineering, and QA) to answer questions about your product
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share knowledge and experience, coordinate with other releases and deliver great products
- Analyze competitive landscape and conduct technology assessments
**Skills You’ll Need to Have**:
- 2- 5 years of software product management or product owner experience in a technical organization
- Strong exposure to user experience design and user research
- Ability to collaborate and interact across functional boundaries and across multiple organizational levels and geographic regions
- Ability to speak with internal and external customers with knowledge and professionalism
- Background in the security space (anti-malware or anti-virus technologies) preferred
- Knowledge of software development life cycle
- Creative thinker, problem solver, and strong leader with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, adapt to changes, maintain a positive attitude, and motivate a team
- Enthusiasm for working in a fun and fast-paced start-up culture
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, hard-working, and a great team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including experience meeting with, and presenting information to cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with Office suite, Smartsheets, Confluence, Jira, and Lucid Charts tools or similar tools
