Job Purpose

The Accountant is responsible for booking accounting transactions in the day-to-day running of the SSC, which include invoices and travel expenses bookings, scheduling and process payments, general accounting bookings, taxation, accounts payables, bank postings and reconciliations, and period close reports.

**Responsibilities**:
Post a purchase order invoice;
Post a purchase return - credit memo;
Post foreign currency vendor invoice;
Post invoices without a purchase order;
Investigate and resolve invoice exceptions;
Analyze and post travel expenses;
Schedule and process payments;
Respond to vendors, requests, and inquiries;
Request approval and posting of manual journal entries in General Ledger and control for journal entries from interfaces;
Confirm the balance sheet of GL accounts, identify open items, and perform a consistent follow-up until the resolution;
Ensuring all tax compliance is met all transactions are effectively structured from a tax perspective;
Process bank postings and reconciliations;
Process of creating standard financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, etc.) and supplementary reports according to appropriate accounting principles;
Perform other reporting duties or ad-hoc tasks as required by the line manager.

**Requirements**:
Bachelor’s degree or higher qualifications in Accounting/Finance/Economy or related discipline;
CPA qualified or equivalent (preferable);
Fluent in English (mandatory) and Spanish (preferable);
SAP experience (preferable);
3+ years’ experience in the accounting field;
Previous experience in Shared Service Center environment;
Demonstrate strong skills including communication, listening, disciplined, and organized;
Strive for continuous improvement and development of systems and procedures;
Ability to multitask and set priorities;
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles
Pro-active approach to their work;
Integrity and trust;
Demonstrated commitment to, and successful achievement of business goals and outcomes;
