**Description**:
As a Groups & Events Executive at Hospes Infante Sagres Porto, you will be responsible for the sales, coordination, and execution of groups and events, ensuring memorable experiences for our clients.This role will play a strategic part in maximizing Groups & Events revenue, developing new business opportunities, and leading the operational aspects of catering and events initiatives.
**Your day to day**
Groups & Events Management
- Act as the main point of contact for groups and events, from prospecting to post-event follow-up.
- Negotiate contracts for groups, meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment with all operational departments (F&B, front office, housekeeping, logistics).
- Coordinate the execution of events, ensuring quality, timing, and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain and strengthen strong relationships with corporate clients and agencies, fostering loyalty.
Business Development
- Ensure all guest invoices and accounts are accurate and issued in a timely manner
- Assist the front office in resolving billing, credit, or payment-related issues
- Ensure the guest experience remains positive even when dealing with financial complaints or disputes
**Responsible Business**
- Actively prospect new business opportunities in the MICE segment (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events).
- Contribute to the definition of commercial strategies and achieve budgeted revenue goals.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and maximize the profitability of each group/event.
- Monitor market trends and propose improvements to enhance the property’s competitiveness.
- Operational Management & Leadership
- Lead planning meetings with internal teams, setting clear responsibilities.
- Guarantee consistency of service standards and customer experience throughout the event journey.
- Monitor KPIs for groups and events, reporting results and suggesting improvements to the Sales Director.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in Groups, Catering & Events roles within hospitality.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with corporate clients and partners.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
- Leadership ability and capacity to coordinate across departments.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written); other languages are an advantage.Knowledge and hands-on experience with Opera PMS.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
- Dynamic, resilient, and highly results-oriented profile.
