BACKGROUND- EDISOFT is a Portuguese company, part of the multinational Thales Group, acting in the ASD (Aeronautic, Space and Defense) domain.

We are looking for Computer Systems Engineers to join a young and dynamic team and contribute in our challenging projects (national and international).

**Responsibilities and Duties**:
The Computer Systems Engineer, under the supervision of the Project Manager, is responsible for the design, planning, implement and monitoring a deployable communications and information system (DCIS)in line with the defined operational requirements. In particular, the Computer Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following activities:

- Analyze customer needs and develop a set of deployable computer system requirements
- Determine how existing systems might meet emerging requirements
- Contribute to create an architecture and design a new deployable computer system solution required to fulfill system requirements
- Troubleshooting, diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and other computer system problems
- Carry out the configuration of the virtual hyperconverged compute and storage solution
- Provide support for the Discounter and data storage implementation and define, document, and put into effect system standards
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and determine how they might be useful to the DCIS
- Perform other job-related duties, as needed
- Interact with relevant external stakeholders such as Portuguese Armed Forces, NATO Staff, EU Military Staff, or international industry

**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- A very good knowledge of written and spoken English
- Conditions to obtain a valid Personnel Security Clearance Certificate (PSCC), at National, NATO and EU SECRET level. PSCC means a certificate issued by the “Gabinete Nacional de Segurança”
- A university degree in computer science, information technology or other close engineering area
- An operational and technical knowledge of designing and managing computer systems in a virtual environment and in an hyperconverged infrastructure context
- Knowledge of virtualized compute and data storage hyperconverged infrastructure solutions (e.g. VMWare, Cisco HyperFlex, Microsoft Hyper-V)

**Desirable skills**:
The following will be considered an advantage:

- At least 02 years professional experience
- Virtualized hyperconverged infrastructure training certifications (e.g. VMWare, Cisco Hyperflex, Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Experience in defense sector
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels
- Availability for travelling
