**Job title**: General Ledger Accountant | Intercompany
**Report To**: General Ledger Team Leader
**Organisation**: kp Business Services

**Purpose of The Job**: Processing General Ledger (GL) activities in the Shared Service Center (SSC).

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Enter, check and post intercompany invoices with and without purchase order;
- Issue financial debit and credit notes as per local teams ticket submission
- Provide support related to annual and interim audits in close cooperation with other departments and auditors;
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external accounting standards, laws and regulations, policies and procedures;
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation and accounts reviews by providing explanations of variances;
- Participation in continuous improvement projects;

**Knowledge**:

- Desirable knowledge of IFRS;
- Knowledge of accounting standards in one of the following GAAPs: Portugal, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, UK or USA;
- Desirable knowledge in Internal Controls;

**Functional/Technical Skills**:

- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field;
- Professional working proficiency in English, other languages would be a plus;
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP and JD Edwards would be a plus), Basware and MS Office.
- Ability to work in an international global environment.

**Soft Skills**:

- Strong Team Work skills;
- Treat sensitive and/or confidential information appropriately.

**Experience**:

- Experience in finance and accounting or equivalent is a plus;
- Experience within a Shared Service Centre environment and transition.
