**HR Generalist - Global Software Company - New Office Opening
Are you an HR generalist interested in taking the next step in your career? Do you want to work for a fast growing tech company who have already experienced significant growth of their market leading platform which is used by some of the world's largest consumer brands.

Ocho is currently partnering with this leading software company to recruit an HR Generalist for their new office in Lisbon and to be one of the first employees in this office. This is an exciting opportunity to have real input into the culture and direction of the HR strategy.

**The Client**

Our client is a really successful software house who have developed a market leading SaaS based marketing platform. The company has an impressive client base of leading consumer brands who use the platform and last year they surpassed over £100 million in annual recurring revenue and they have raised over £300million in investment from leading tech investors. They are growing rapidly and opening a new office in Lisbon and are recruiting for an HR Generalist to lead on the HR strategy and processes.

**The Role**

You will be responsible for aligning the HR strategy to the Portuguese market and to lead on the implementation of a broad HR strategy. This will include
- Own new hire onboarding and offboarding in Portugal including in-office coordination of all new hire paperwork and activities and offboarding processes
- Maintain knowledge of employment law matters related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance by partnering with external employment counsel. This includes creation and maintenance of the Portugal employee handbook in alignment with our US and UK handbooks.
- Engage, maintain and administer Portuguese benefits that align with the US and UK approaches and offerings.
- Build strong relationships with local managers and employees, acting as the main point of contact for employee concerns or questions.
- Manage and resolve all employee relations issue
- Provide input, guidance and interpretation of HR policies for the region
- Work with the internal People Operations Team as well as outside immigration attorneys to create the internal and external mobility programs to work in Portugal
- Enrich engagement of employees, promote culture, and help create a positive work experience
- Serve as liaison between Portugal office and DEI team to drive initiatives and provide insight and support

**The Person**

Ideally you will meet the following criteria;
- 8 + years experience of working in a broad HR generalist role with experience of the full employee lifecycle
- Experience of aligning HR strategy to a local market
- Experience of dealing with US stakeholders within a business
- Strong communication skills with good influencing skills
- Able to work both autonomously or as part of a team
