Data Quality Analyst

The Data Office of Euronext is responsible for the execution of the company data governance programme, a key aspect of this relates to Data Quality. Data is deemed to be of acceptable quality if it is fit for its intended uses in operation, decision making and planning.

As part of the Data Office team, the Data Quality Analyst will provide quality assurance oversight on business processes where data is collected, stored, transformed or used.

**As a Data Quality Analyst you will**:

- Perform, analyze and report on data profiling activities, with an emphasis on identifying anomalies on data and documenting issues, patterns and gaps in the data and/or system;
- Assist in the full cycle of data quality processes related to the profiling analysis, reporting and cleansing’ follow-up of data across Euronext data assets;
- Work with Business Data Owners in the identification of quality measures and provision of profiled results;
- Help to create new processes and procedures needed to identify and improve quality.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- With the support of the Data Manager and Senior Data Steward, Lead the Data Office’ Data Quality Initiatives;
- Perform data profiling on databases/files on the data quality dimensions, calculate data quality measures and report results, with a focus on errors or anomalies;
- Analyze profiling results, provide reports/recommendations to the stakeholders and follow-up the cleansing activities to fix anomalies’ causes;
- Actively communicate to stakeholders on quality issues with regards to the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used;
- Communicate pervasiveness of data quality problems and their potential impacts, proactively promote the awareness of Data Quality within the business;
- Focus on automation to bring and improve productivity and to reduce time-consuming manual tasks;
- Manage documentation related to data quality (data standards, definitions, DQA documents such as checklists, guidelines, manuals, templates, forms, etc.);
- Assist other departments in the design of quality edit checks, test plans, etc. to ensure data quality objectives are met, as well as participate in cross-functional teams and development/improvement task forces;
- Perform audits, as required, to ensure quality processes exist and are being adhered to.

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 year’s experience in Data Quality or Data Analysis;
- Master in Data Analytics or similar discipline;
- Knowledge of SQL, Python and Java;
- Communication and relationship skills;
- Analytical and quantitative problem solving ability;
- Good project/time management and teamwork skills;
- Detail oriented;
- A strong drive for results;
- Good influencing skills.
