As the Technical Video Operations Manager at Stats Perform, you will oversee the technical and operational aspects of live video content delivery. You will manage the MCR and Video Engineering teams in Portugal, implementing and optimising systems, workflows, and technologies to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery to our customers. Expertise in video streaming technologies, workflow optimisation, and project management will be crucial in driving excellence within our video operations department.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Technical Infrastructure Management**:
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of technical infrastructure for live video content delivery.
- Collaborate with Video Architecture and Automation teams for seamless integration of video delivery systems with existing infrastructure and workflows.
- **Workflow Optimisation**:
- Develop and optimise workflows for live video content delivery to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Identify opportunities for automation and streamline processes to reduce manual effort in live video delivery.
- **Project Management**:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of live video projects, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identify technical challenges, and provide solutions for smooth live video delivery.
- **Quality Assurance**:
- Conduct regular quality checks and performance testing on video delivery systems to ensure adherence to technical specifications.
- Develop a sound operational strategy to maximise productivity and service delivery.
- **Team Leadership Training**:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of technical and support specialists, including MCR Team Leads, MCR Controllers, and Video Engineers.
Provide guidance and technical expertise to facilitate team members' professional growth.**Required Qualifications**:
- Experience in managing technical projects and teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- In-depth knowledge of streaming platforms, encoding/transcoding solutions and video delivery technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with varied teams and stakeholders.
- Creative vision, strategic thinking, and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance live video content delivery operations. Languages: English & Portuguese
**Desired Qualifications**:
- Knowledge of Stats Performs products and offerings.
- Experience with live broadcasting events.
- This position may require occasional travel and flexibility in working hours to accommodate live event schedules and operational needs.
