Group Financial Controller

As a Group Financial Controller within Group Finance you will have the chance to work with varied tasks and a broad range of competencies. The main focus is to ensure quality and timeliness in Verisure’s external financial reporting, according to IFRS. You will be in close dialogue with the local finance functions in the 17 countries where we operate, as well as with Group Internal Control, Group Treasury, Group Tax, Group Legal and Group FP&A.

**Location**

The position will be based in Lisbon (Portugal) and you will be seated together with colleagues from the broader Group Finance team based in Lisbon. You will be reporting to Senior Group Financial Controller, who is based in Malmö, Sweden. The Lisbon office is the base for a growing number of Group Finance members. The Group Finance team has members based in different locations, such as Geneva, Malmö, Madrid, Lisbon, Paris and Linköping.

**Responsibility**

As a Group Financial Controller within Group Finance you will be a part of the Group Finance Control team. We work together as a team with shared responsibilities and your main areas of responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Be responsible for preparing quarterly reports in accordance with IAS 34
- Be responsible for preparations of quarterly analysis
- Be responsible for impairment testing for goodwill and other intangible assets within the Group
- Preparation of Group adjustments such as IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 related items
- Preparations of annual reports in accordance with IFRS
- Monthly review of tax reporting from entities within the Group
- Be involved in updating and revising the accounting principles for the Group
- Ad hoc accounting questions and analysis.

**What you bring**

We are looking for a flexible, open minded, team player with an eye for detail to deliver with high quality on a timely manner. We also see that you have the following experience, qualifications and personality:
**Experience and qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Economics / Accounting / Business
- 2+ years of relevant experience from financial accounting/reporting or similar in a complex and international setting
- Good knowledge of IFRS regulations
- Skilled in Excel
- Advanced/Proficient level of English is mandatory, and knowledge in other languages is meriting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to navigate in an international/multicultural environment

Meriting:

- Experience as an auditor
- Working in an international or listed company
