We are looking for a **Junior Financial Controller** for our offices located in Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto.

**Main supporting activities, among others**:

- Manage and oversee annual unit budgets and monthly forecasts;
- Monitor and report hotel revenue and expenses and ensure the accurate recording in accordance with Highgate Hotels’s established guidelines;
- Investigate and analyze variances to budget or to prior year and offer practical improvement methodologies to management;
- Analyze financial data and operations in order to assist and advise management in maintaining the hotels’ financial objectives;
- Prepare business reviews, departmental budgets, and financial reports;
- Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls;
- Preparation of monthly F&B reports;
- Setting up/maintaining processes in Micros Simphony/Opera;
- Be a strong support for the Cluster GM in all matters related to cost and revenue analysis and cost process improvements.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Financial, or Economic area, or higher;
- Some experience as Financial Controller can be a preference factor;
- Some experience in international hospitality companies with USALI metrics can be preference factor;
- Knowledge of Sap S/4HANA, Opera, Micros Simphony can be a preference factor;
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability;
- Strong knowledge of Excel;
- Strong organizational and planning skills;
- Analytical mindset and ability to work independently;
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
