Operational Risk Manager

**About the job**

The Operational Risk Manager is responsible for handling tasks pertaining to operational risk, deep diving into Global Banking Front-to-Ops processes with the constant ambition to mitigate the associated risks, while understanding the key challenges for each Business Line covered

The Operational Risk Analyst is assigned to CCCO initiatives and fully in charge of the delivery, by facilitating, and animating relevant governance bodies and producing associated deliverables

In this context, the Operational Risk Manager will manage a team of Operational Risk Analysts in Portugal and contribute to harmonize, reinforce and industrialize Global Banking permanent control framework across the 3 regions

A large part of the job will be to liaise with multiple relevant stakeholders within the Global Banking universe (Front Office, IT & Operations, OPC) as well as with Group Control functions, to ensure coordination and alignment of program approach and priorities

**Your Main Activities Are**

Drive the Global Risk Self-Assessment campaign for Global Banking (full scope)

Manage operational risks and contribute to strengthen Global Banking operational permanent control environment, through proactive actions, working actively with the Business Lines to identify and reduce potential operational risks, putting new controls in place or improving existing controls

Monitor and analyse historical incidents, define and track appropriate action plans

Perform back-testing on potential incidents and historical incidents and validation of allocation keys used in all potential incidents impacting capital computation

Contribute to the identification of risk areas and define appropriate remediation

Follow-up on Audit and Regulatory recommendations Coordinate Exceptional Transaction & New Activities Committees and Secretariat of Business Lines Internal Control Committees

Coordinate with the OPCs based in EMEA sites, as well as with ITO operations and CIB Functions, in coordination with Regulatory Affairs, to establish and maintain a cross-functional and front-to-end vision of risks

**Profile and Skills to Success**

Experience in Corporate Banking, Inspection Générale, Consultancy, or Group Control function

Solid knowledge of Operational Risk or Permanent Control

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both oral and written

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to understand, explain and support change and to anticipate business and strategic developments

Team spirit and relational ease, with the ability to create bonds of trust and interact effectively

The OPC team is a key component of the first line of defence in the day-to-day management of operational risks and its associated permanent control framework

Within the Head of Operational & Permanent Controls teams, the Operational Risk Manager will be an instrumental member of the Global Banking Permanent Control community
