There is an open call for two (2) Research Initiation Grant (“Bolsa de Iniciação à Investigação”) at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of project Route 25. This work is supported by the European Union / Next Generation EU, through Programa de Recuperação e Resiliência (PRR) [Project Nr. 29: Route 25 (02/C05-i01.01/2022.PC645463824-00000063)].

**Admission Requirements**:
Research Initiation Grants (BII) are intended:

- for students enrolled in a professional higher technical course, undergraduate degree, integrated master's degree or master's degree, to undertake initial R&D activities, with a view to beginning their scientific training through integration in R&D projects to be developed in national institutions.
- for students carrying out initial R&D activities who are enrolled in non-degree courses integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units.

**Work Objectives**:
1. Work with automated driving stacks 2. Implementation of basic vehicle automation features. 3. Preparation of documentation, including technical reports and scientific papers, and participation in writing Route 25 project deliverables.

The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at Aveiro, under the supervision of Prof. Joaquim José de Castro Ferreira.

**Duration**:
6 months, with the possibility of renewal. This type of scholarship has a maximum duration of 1 year. Start date: July 2025 or soon thereafter.

- Proof of enrollment in a higher education course or declaration of intention to enroll in a study cycle leading to an academic degree or in a course that does not confer an academic degree. *
- NOTE: Proof of enrollment, issued by the higher education institution in a study cycle leading to the award of an academic degree or in a non-degree course, must be submitted by the time of contract signing.
