Hiscox S.A. is searching for a dynamic and passionate **Underwriting** **Operations Analyst** to join the European Underwriting Management Team. The Ops Analyst will manage, monitor, and maintain existing operational underwriting processes to assure optimal performance. The Ops Analyst will also identify and initiate changes to those processes as opportunities arise or emerging issues dictate. The Operations Analyst will report to the Head of Underwriting Operations, and will work mainly with stakeholders across Underwriting, Operations, IT as well as the local country teams.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and support the performance of key processes that are critical to underwriting operations, and maintain current and complete procedures and guidelines for these processes. These will include:

- Product Oversight and Governance
- Underwriting Standard and Controls
- Underwriting Trainings
- Delegated Authorities
- Portfolio Management
- Drive results of the underwriting operations team in supporting on the delivery of Group and European wide underwriting projects and manage local implementation
- Building strong, productive relationships with the business, Underwriting Teams, Operations and IT
- Implementing continual improvements within your sphere of influence to ensure that we are constantly delivering efficient and effective change

person specification:

- Completed business degree, ideally with a specialization in insurance management or 2+ years’ experience in underwriting or any other insurance or consulting related role
- Knowledge of PM best practices, methodologies, and project governance principles.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SharePoint.
- Advanced SharePoint and workflow skills a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative, proactive, logical and innovative - you do not accept the status quo
- Results driven, with the energy and determination to succeed in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality, service and personal ownership
