About the job Contract Manager
Our client is a company that is expanding greatly in the energy market and is one of the largest methanol producers in the world. They work on EPC projects in various parts of the world.
**Responsibilities**:
**Management of Client Contracts**:
Administer all commercial and contractual benchmarks with clients, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon terms and prompt delivery.
Draft, present, and negotiate modifications and claims with clients.
Oversee invoice generation and monitor accounts receivable to guarantee that financial targets are achieved.
Keep comprehensive and updated records of all contracts and communications with clients.
**Support for Project Development**:
Work closely with the project development team to establish optimal contracting strategies with licensors and primary engineering contractors.
Formulate and negotiate essential terms, such as liabilities, penalties, performance guarantees, and warranties with technology vendors and other involved parties.
Ensure that contracting strategies align with corporate goals and specific project needs.
**Risk Assessment and Compliance**:
Recognize, evaluate, and mitigate contractual risks throughout the project.
Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and notify project managers and stakeholders of potential risks.
**Interdepartmental Collaboration**:
Act as a connection point between project management, procurement, and legal departments to facilitate unified contract management.
Deliver training and advice to project teams regarding contractual terms and effective practices.
**Required Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, law, business, or a relevant discipline.
Over 5 years of experience in contract administration, preferably in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects.
Thoroughly understand contractual clauses, liabilities, penalties, and performance guarantees in industrial or energy sectors.
Proficiency in managing change orders, claims, and monitoring invoices.
Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities.
Experience with contract management software and tools is advantageous.
Familiarity with the construction of methanol and ammonia plants is a plus.
