The Key Account Manager for PMC plays a crucial role in driving business growth and fostering strong relationships with key accounts within the PMC sector, by providing technical expertise, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions. By effectively managing multiple key accounts and collaborating with internal teams, and due to the strong knowledge of the market and equipped with our advanced product solutions, this role ensures customer satisfaction, identifies opportunities for expansion, and contributes to the overall success of PPG in this business.

Job Purpose:
Manage designated key accounts and ensure profitable business relationships with current customers and new prospects for our PMC business in Portugal.

Key Responsibilities
- Generate sustainable and profitable business for a selected portfolio of Key Accounts with strategic importance to PMC business.
- Develop durable customer relations across all levels of decision makers and influencers.
- Gain knowledge of the industry, our products and our tools to become the go to coating advisor for customers.
- Identify, support and drive innovation from and to the market that enhances our customers’ sustainability and productivity.
- Sell our products and services to new and existing customers.
- Identify new business opportunities & develop a commercial pipeline.
- Ensure the achievement of monthly and annual sales and margin targets.
- Plan and lead impactful visits to customers.
- Prepare key account plans and maintain CRM and sales pipeline.
- Resolve customer complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Grow your internal network to learn, get support and accelerate the above.

**Qualifications**:

- Technical background: Solid technical foundation and a strong understanding of PMC coatings, adhesives, sealants, and related products.
- Technical knowledge of anticorrosion
- Knowledge of regulations and standards
- Technical knowledge of products
- Be certified by recognized international entities (FROZIO or NACE) (mandatory).
- Experience: minimum of 4 years of experience in technical sales & account management within the Marine industry. Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with key accounts and achieving sales targets.
- Understanding market and customer perspective
- Ability to assess customer needs and propose solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation & interpersonal skills.
- English fluent level
- Availability to travel
- Driving license
