- An occupational hygienist specialises in identifying risks in the workplace and advises organisations on how to avoid and resolve them. Working in a variety of locations, including building sites, offices and factories, they promote responsible practice and raise awareness of health and safety issues.- Region 2 is divided in Angola, Equatorial Guinee, Malasya and Guyana.- You play a key role in promoting and embedding strong Occupational Health leadership, positive behaviour and culture amongst the Region 2.**MAIN RESPONSABILITIES**
- In your role of Occupational Hygienist, your main responsibilities are to:
- Occupational hygienists have the skills to identify, assess and find solutions to control workplace health hazards and thereby manage any associated risk to health. These may be chemical, physical, biological or ergonomic and can be present in the workplace in many forms
- Identify hazardous agents in the workplace
- Evaluate exposure to those hazardous agents to determine the level of risk
- Use administrative measures to further reduce risk, such as developing a procedure on how to operate machinery safely or signs to warn people of a hazard
- Select appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to reduce risk further if still required and as a last resort, or as an interim protective measure
- Conduct ergonomic assessment onshore and offshore, as well, adapt the areas and equipment’s to improve the ergonomics at work;
- Ergonomic catalog updating and dissemination;
- Risk Management program (chemical, physical and biological)
- Radiologic Survey conduction and action tracker, as well licenses management;
- Benzene program and survey, as well action tracker;
- Asbestos Program and Survey, as well action tracker;
- PPE definition and management: ASEL update, certificate control, PPE Matrix, training and records;
- Organize and control results from Fit test - year protection;
- Respiratory program and implementation of fit test;
- Implement manual handling program;
- Action Tracking from hygiene programs;
- Issue KPIs regarding programs adherence as well, action implemented;
- Conduct trainings and awareness around all Region 2 fleet;
- VOC procedure implementation and management;
- Hygiene Campaigns
- Heat stress procedure management and control, building KPIs and surveys;
- Regular embarks to inspections and awareness of offshore team;
- Legal requirements management and control;
- Construction of reports of dangerousness and unhealthiest
- In addition to the role above, you might also be asked to support the Region 2 or the department with the following activities:
- Provide support to Regional HSSE Manager and unit HSSE Engineers as required
- Coordinate and attend as required client HSSE/Occupational audits (OIA) carried out on board and at the Shore Base.
- Coordinate and attend as required internal ISM/ISO450011/ISO14001 audits carried out on board and at the Shore Base.

**MAIN REQUIREMENTS**
- Engineering Degree or Master in occupational health and safety, chemistry, biology, environmental science (biological)
- At least minimum 5 years’ experience in the Energy Sector (preferable Oil And Gas Operations in FPSO) or similar industry (chemical)
- Strong technical/site experience or HSSE management experience.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent- Management System Lead Auditor (ISO 45001/ISO 14001)- Valid offshore medical certificate, BOSIET/HUET required for the position**SKILLS**
