BYT is a spinoff of Boost IT that aims to use all the knowledge and experience created over 4 years, with a management team that has more than 15 years of experience.

Created in December 2021, after 4 years of delivering the specialized recruitment service with great success under Boost IT name. During these 4 years we carried out more than 400 specialized recruitment processes for 20 different clients, both in Portugal and Internationally.The success of the direct recruitment business area within Boost IT was so successful that we decided, in 2021, to create BYT.

**About the opportunity**:
We’re currently looking for a Tech Lead to join an opportunity with a direct contractual link with a leading international tobacco company.

Tasks

\- Establishing a strong engineering culture within the backend chapter, with focus on code quality, scalability and maintainability

\- Lead technical discussions within the team and be the go-to person for the team for guidance and troubleshooting

\- Understand, implement and measure key Business and Engineering metrics around performance, quality and availability and work regularly with the team to push the boundaries and improve them periodically

\- Set up solid process and practices around code quality, conventions and standards

\- Help delivery teams in grooming and prioritisation of Technical Debts

\- Leading and Contributing towards organisation wide tech initiatives and transformations

\- Mentoring and coach backend software engineers

\- Help the organisation in building a top quality team by participating in hiring initiatives

**Requirements**:
\- Experience in backend engineering

\- Experience with solutions such as Adobe AEM and SAP Hybris (plus)

\- Extensive experience in developing and maintaining APIs (REST and GraphQL)

\- Strong experience leading teams

\- Good communication skills, should be able to articulate thoughts and ideas to engineering and non-engineering audiences.

\- Expertise in all common AWS Cloud technologies, Knowledge of CI/CD tools and workflows

\- Good stakeholder management
