The IT Release Manager will be responsible for managing the release of software updates, upgrades, and patches across all environments, including production.
- He / She will have a strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.**ROLE CONTRIBUTION**
- Manage the software release process from planning to deployment
- Chairman of the Change Advisory Board
- Coordinate with IFS Solution teams to schedule release dates and ensure that all release activities are completed on time
- Develop and maintain release schedules and calendars
- Ensure that releases are compliant with applicable policies, regulations, and standards
- Ensure that any new releases can be technically maintained overtime
- Identify and mitigate potential release-related risks
- Develop and maintain release-related documentation, such as release notes and user guides
- Collaborate with the change management team to ensure that changes are properly documented and communicated to stakeholders
- Communicate release status and updates to relevant stakeholders
- Continuously evaluate and improve the release process to increase efficiency and effectiveness

**TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES**
- Excellent ITIL knowledge (ITIL certification is preferred)
- Proven experience managing the release of ERP services (IFS is preferred)
- Knowledge of ERP systems and processes (IFS is preferred)
- Experience with service delivery tools, such as IT service management (ITSM) software and monitoring tools (ServiceNow is preferred)
- Strong experience with release management tools, such as DevOps, GitLab, and Jira
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall (Certification is preferred)
- Strong understanding of service delivery processes, including SLAs, service catalogs, and escalation processes
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills

**EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT release management (Within an ERP environment is preferred)
