**Mission**
**Your Role**
- Hire, develop and motivate a high-performance team aligned with business needs and strategy;
- Collaborate in the elaboration of research grant proposals, including offering novel solution ideas;
- Supervise the development of the technical solution of the various projects;
- Interact with other teams from the company, such as other R&D departments, operations, sales, product development, etc.
- Present the work of R&D telecom team to external peers in the name of the organization you represent;
- In case you have a PhD (optional), to supervise dissertations from master’s and/or doctoral students (you must have a master’s degree in telecommunications engineering, computer science, data science, mathematics or another related field, but a doctoral degree is preferred).
**Perfil**:
- 10+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering and software architecture, of which, the last 3+ years in management of mid-size teams.
- Experience with project management in this field, including the usage of Agile / Scrum processes.
- Previous participation in European publicly funded research and innovation projects.
- Deep understanding of ETSI NFV and ETSI MEC architectures and respective use cases (vEPC, 5G Core, Open-RAN, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies & projects involving Kubernetes, OpenStack and/or VMWare.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms.
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
- Holder of a European Union Passport (mandatory)
