**About Convatec**

Position Overview
The main purpose of the role is to act as an independent accounting expert, ensuring the delivery of all accounting and reporting processes in scope. The person is fully responsible for the completeness of books and for the timely and correct reporting of accounting figures for the assigned entity(ies).

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform accounting and reporting tasks (incl. audit) in line with defined processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions, update process documentations as required
- Execute period-end tasks for assigned entity(ies), perform reconciliation and clearing of accounts, report actuals in the reporting system in a timely manner, and meet quality targets
- Secure compliance according to internal procedures and legislation, support the Senior Country Accountant in the preparation of the financial statements and tax reporting obligations
- Escalate issues and concerns to the RTR Team Lead and propose remediating actions
- Proactively assist the RTR Team Lead to identify any areas of improvement to help maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes, and lead the implementation of improvement initiatives of medium level of complexity
- Support cross-process and cross-function cooperation required to achieve overall goals for GBS
- Drive the resolution of queries raised by employees, managers, finance partners & other internal and external stakeholders, build good relationships with stakeholders
- Actively support GL associates

**Key Requirements**
- Minimum 4+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Experience in working with IFRS and local standards
- Experience in Tax (Direct and Indirect) accounting and compliance is an advantage
- Knowledge of Technology: MS Office, SAP is an advantage
- Strong communication skills
- Mature attitude towards challenges and problem solving - being able to work with limited guidance and able to determine the information needed to resolve issues, manage pressure effectively, and cope well with setbacks
- Taking ownership of assigned responsibilities, including self-study/research needed to execute the same
- Being able to work to tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Team player
- English is a required language

**Qualifications/Education**
- Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting
- Additional accounting certification is a plus

Internal - GBS teams, Controllers, Finance business partners, Global Tax and Transfer pricing specialists, Corporate and market commercial teams

External - Auditors, external providers

**Travel Requirements**

Position may involve travel up to 5% of the time, mostly within the region. Most trips will include overnight travel.
