Your new role
- To support Managers, staff, and wider HR colleagues through the provision customer focused HR operational solutions, ensuring standard processes and systems are applied, responsibilities are owned, data quality is maintained, and business risk is managed.
- Provide timely and consistent support to managers ensuring ownership and responsibilities remain in the appropriate places. Bringing expert HR knowledge to ensure issues are resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible
- Developing sound customer relationships and taking the time to understand the wider needs and implications and manage expectations. Taking the opportunity to coach managers and employees on general HR processes and self-service options
- Provide learning opportunities and capability uplift for managers and HR staff to drive effective utilisation of HR policy and process; always seeking to identify coaching opportunities through interaction
- Work as part of a wider HR solutions team to ensure agreed service levels, customer promises, and HR outcomes are delivered to the required quality and timeliness standards
- Ensure any handoffs to specialist process teams (e.g., Employee relations) are done effectively by ensuring accurate information and insight is communicated
- Be the initial point of escalation for less experienced HR Administrators / colleagues on more complex enquiries, taking responsibility for matters where appropriate. Provide coaching and support to build HR Administrator capability and confidence
- Take absolute responsibility in investigating, resolving queries and delivering customer response; exercising judgment to know where further consultation of expertise is required to effectively resolve a query. Proactively provide updates / engage relevant stakeholders to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Champion the use of Kantar Systems to ensure operational efficiency, transparency and consistency - feeding back improvement opportunities and enhancements to the relevant teams
- Provide case management support to line managers in relation to disciplinaries and grievances and other employee disputes and issues
- Support in the impact operational impact assessment of policy and system changes to ensure operational continuity is maintained and benefits of any changes realised
- Providing support and cover for other HR team members during demanding workloads and absence as part of own personal development
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree level education or equivalent
- CIPD or equivalent HR Qualification
- Qualified or equivalent experience
- Experience in an advisory HR role, gained within a large and diverse HR function
- Fluent English speaker, accurately able to read and write English and to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and management
- Strong service ethos with a proven experience of service delivery and customer service in a HR Environment
- Demonstrable ER capability gain though significant case management experience
- Willingness to work flexibly across geographic time zones during peak periods such as periods such as annual performance review cycle
- Experience in a Shared Service HR Department would be advantageous
