Convatec is looking for Graduate Finance Trainees, based in Lisbon, who want to play a key role in transforming our business and working across a finance team to deliver value in a global business on a 2 years programme.

The graduate finance trainees will be comfortable supporting, collaborating and influencing others.

Graduate finance trainees will provide their ideas so the wider Convatec team can help them to bring them to life.

With our customers at the heart of everything we do they’ll be assisting and supporting our finance colleagues, functions and businesses across the globe to ensure the delivery of financial and corporate processes that underpin our business.

We have big ambitions for our corporate finance group. Finance graduate trainees will help us raise the bar with how we are able to grow and invest for the benefit of our customers. Working with our finance colleagues on the strategic roadmap, they’ll be responsible for working within established teams. Helping being a part of making our business more productive and simplifying our processes. They’ll own the delivery and management of small tactical projects - so there’s a real opportunity to learn and have exposure across the business.

**Here’s what you’ll be doing**:

- Finance graduate trainees will be supported to experience different areas of our finance offering both in our global business services as well as our corporate finance functions;
- Proactively work with other team members to understand the technical, commercial and operational aspects of what we do;
- Develop skills, knowledge and understanding in delivering services that will drive speed, quality and efficiency in our business decision making.

**Here’s what we’re looking for**:

- Appetite to learn and adapt to a fast-paced finance group;
- Degree level of education - Finance or in a relevant field;
- Advanced level of English;
- Customer-first mindset;
- Attention to detail;
- Appreciation of the value of planning;
- Ability to sense when something warrants further investigation;
- Good interpersonal skills, including collaboration;
- Ability to work effectively across a varied range of stakeholders;
- Pro-active and solution focused.

**Working Conditions**:
You will be based out of our offices in Lisbon; however, frequent travel will be expected to our global HQ in London. The working environment is vibrant and supportive. You will receive a starting salary of €16.000, plus annual incentive scheme, annual holiday allowance, employee benefits and pension contributions (trust us that last part is important).

A final programme bonus will also be eligible for payment to employees taking up permanent roles within the group at the end of year two.
