**iBET,** has an open position for a research fellowship available within the integrated project “Agenda VIIAFOOD - Plataforma para a Valorização, Industrialização e Inovação comercial para o Agroalimentar”, framed in the notice nº 02/C05-i01/2022, financed by the Program for Recovery and Resilience (PRR) through CE
- Admission Requirements
- MSc with a minimum value of 16 in the scientific areas described above;
- Experience in extraction of natural compounds (bioactives, pigments, proteins) from plant matrices;
- Experience in analytical methodologies including liquid and gas chromatography (HPLC, GC);
- Experience in bioactivity assays (antioxidant activity assays);
- Experience in new product development;
- Good organizational and communication skills and ability to work as part of a team;
- Proficient use of the English language.
- Work Plan
- 1) Development of extracts rich in natural compounds;
- 2) Characterization of the extracts regarding their chemical composition and bioactivities;
- 3) Incorporation of developed ingredients in food products.
- Fellowship Duration
- The fellowship will have a duration of **6 months**, eventually renewed until the end of project, without prejudice of the maximum limits foreseen by law. The expected starting date is **1 of February of 2025**.
