Allyn International is currently looking for a full-time Logistics Specialist in Porto to join our organization

Our core products include transportation management, logistics sourcing, freight forwarding, supply chain consulting, tax management, and customs compliance.
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing logistics activities in a manner that shall meet business fulfillment requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction. The Logistics Specialist shall manage outbound domestic and international logistics for client. The position is responsible for collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects, and services, as well as providing logistics support, consulting, and obtaining best possible transportation rates.
- Route cargo in accordance with legal and customer requirements
- Coordinate the routing process including contract rates and spot quotes, as well as, selecting carrier and tendering cargo, providing carrier, shipper, broker, consignee all pertinent docs and information
- Proactive approach to issue resolution and shipment responsibility
- Accurately issue shipping documentations such as certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists, and certificates of insurance
- Communication with freight forwarders, shippers, consignees, clients and internal communication within the team
- Contracting External Logistics Service Providers for route & port surveys
- Transport regulations compliance management, including permitting, over dimensional and hazardous cargo
- Maintain online tracking and metrics tools
- Track and resolve freight claims
