We are currently looking for a self-starter to join our Project Management Office team who is a quick study and has the technical aptitude to drive complex technology projects. This team provides program and project management excellence to prioritize, plan, and execute cross-functional, strategic data center and public cloud infrastructure projects, focused on extending Five9's leadership in the industry.
You will need to be a team player with the right combination of project management, technical, and interpersonal skills. You will need to be a master at scheduling and fully capable of negotiating and influencing others in order for you to drive your projects from initiation to completion.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the stability and availability of our QE labs by working with cross-functional teams on scheduling changes and maintenances, assessing risks, effectively managing communications, developing new processes and generating uptime reports
- Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple, enterprise-wide strategic projects for Product Engineering which are integral in evolving our QE labs, data center infrastructure and/or introducing new product capabilities
- Lead and work with cross-functional teams to ensure on time, on budget, quality initiatives that support Five9's business & technology strategies while adhering to PMO standards and processes
- Proactively and aggressively manage expectations with stakeholders by aligning team members and management on project goals, scope, schedule and risks
- Provide timely project updates to sponsors and stakeholders
- Create and maintain project artifacts including stakeholder presentations, project charters, status reports, risk management reports, retrospectives, etc.
- Work with the PMO team and contribute to process improvements to enhance quality and execution of initiatives
**Requirements**:
- 2-3 years of project management experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing initiatives involving design and implementation of strategic enterprise systems and software products
- Self-motivated, energetic, excellent interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present information, status, and issues in a clear and concise manner at all levels of the organization
- High degree of flexibility, independence, initiative, and detail orientation
- Understanding of QE processes, software development life cycle, and/or software release process a definite plus
- Familiarity with data center operations and public cloud, including infrastructure, database, networking, telephony, voice, and information security preferred
- Ability to understand and be involved in the technical details in order to successfully gather and understand complex requirements and drive projects to completion
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
