Your mission should you accept it ?

You will be part of the Smart Derivatives Support team which represents the backbone of BNP Paribas’ Electronic trading offering. Its core function is to provide a single point of contact for Client queries for all our Electronic products and services. Smart D team supports Clients, Trading venues and external counterparties, is responsible for Client enablement, Client Support and platform development. Smart Derivatives team is a critical component of Electronic Business & Markets group, providing the highest level of service to our external and internal clients to position BNP Paribas as a leading provider of Electronic Markets solutions.Smart Derivatives Support is Responsible for managing and implementing all Client, User Enablement requests to BNP Paribas electronic trading platforms, Smart Derivatives and Brio.

You will ensure clients are connected, having the ability to price and to trade at all times. You will provide business support & training to several teams and ensure the proper usage of the platform. You will propose and create new marketing to promote the platform and new features. You will ensure the information available in the platform regarding existing, new features are up to date. You will train & present to internal users the new features made available after each new release.

You will be also involved on the several eBuiness Optimisation projects, leading the ones directly related with the BAU and the platform development.

CIB Global Markets is BNP Paribas’ capital markets business within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), delivering solutions across asset classes, and industry-leading services for clients including Institutional, corporate, private banks and retail distribution networks. Our Portugal Platform (Porto and Lisbon) is a major HUB in Europe and certainly unique in the country by its size and its scope of activity, with all Front Office roles present (Trading, Sales, Research, Structuring, Quant & Engineering, Business Dev and Support, Marketing & Client Support, Risk Management, Data Analytics and Machine Learning ). Smart Derivatives team is within Electronic Client Solutions (ECS) and eMarketers team, which is within COO group.

ECS supports BNP Paribas clients on Single dealer and Multi dealer platforms in conjunction with Sales and Trading, organized respectively into three sub-teams:

- FX Cash, Options, Algos, Commodities, Fixed Income
- Rates, Credit
- Structured Products, Derivatives.

The eMarketers team main role is marketing the BNP Digital Offer (including new digital execution and content tools) to new and existing clients based in mainland Europe. The role is key to us in maintaining a growing franchise and helping the business to deliver on BNP Paribas’ strategic digital aims.

What's next ?

You will gain knowledge on a wide range of products mainly EQD and Structure products, as well as on the electronic business and BNP digital offer. You will learn how to handle clients and other internal or external stakeholders under pressure. You will be responsible for several projects, in which you will have contact with different automation tools, with numerous front office teams (Sales, Traders, Structurers, Developers) having visibility on the big picture.

Are you our next VIE ?

You have a master in mathematics, any other science/engineering field or finance, economics with an overall understanding and interest in the financial world.

You have gained relevant experience (internships and work-study program included) preferably at an investment bank or in similar areas.

You have expertise in market finance, a solid knowledge in equities.

You have advanced English skills and strong Excel knowledge.

You have demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills. You have strong team work while being able to work autonomously. Your excellent communication skills and your ability to adapt quickly in a demanding environment will be also assets to be successful in this mission.
