Our Banking Operations department stands out for the excellence of its unique tailor-made service, recognized by customers and the market alike. Nearly 200 employees work closely together in Lausanne, Singapore and Lisbon to handle the banking operations of demanding customers.

The team

You will be member of the Settlement and derivatives team (within the Securities Team), responsible for the processing of the securities transactions executed on the market (shares, bonds, ETF, options, futures etc..) as well as monitoring accounting and, ensuring the proper execution of product maturities and settlement in the markets.

The Settlement and derivatives team supports our client's banks and ensures efficient and high-quality service in the processing of the operations.

The team is in direct contact with custodians, and brokers ensuring that transactions are settled accordingly.

But here's the exciting part: you'll be helping launch this activity from scratch in Lisbon, working closely with our experienced team in Switzerland.

The role will be based in Lisbon, Portugal (Av. Dom João II 43, Lisboa, Portugal).

Your responsibilities

• Accounting and control stock exchange transactions
• Daily monitoring of the settlements for all transactions
• Administrative management and monitoring of various taxes
• Processing and follow-up of investigations
• Accounting and control of options, futures, accumulator/decumulator trading operations (regulated/OTC)
• Monitoring of expirations, assignments, and exercises
• Support international teams by providing timely updates and resolving any discrepancies.
• Maintain comprehensive records of transactions in alignment with company policies.
• Answer to client's bank request
• Assist in the implementation of process improvements within the Operations Department.

Your core competencies

• 3-5 years previous experience in securities or financial operations is preferred.
• Build and maintain a strong communication channel with clients and stakeholders.
• Client Service Oriented.
• Knowledge of banking and financial services processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
• Proficiency in relevant tools and software for securities processing.
• Rigorous and results oriented
• Adaptable and resilient
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
