We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our innovative team as our next #bloqstar. In this role, you'll support the Mechanical Engineering team in designing, testing, and improving mechanical components and assemblies, helping bring 's products from concept to reality

What you'll be doing: 

  • Support the Mechanical Engineering team in creating and updating 2D drawings and technical documentation;

  • Assist in mechanical design, prototyping, and testing of product components and assemblies;

  • Conduct research on materials, manufacturing methods, and suppliers to improve product performance and cost efficiency;

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electronics, software, operations, industrialization) to ensure mechanical solutions meet all product requirements;

  • Prepare and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) and related project documentation for manufacturing;

  • Provide support during assembly, validation, and field testing phases of new hardware;

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and design optimization efforts to enhance quality and manufacturability.


What you'll bring to the table: 

  • Currently completing or recently graduated in Mechanical Engineering (or a related technical field);

  • Strong knowledge of technical drawing and proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar);

  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and materials science;

  • Eligible for the IEFP Professional Internship program (or an equivalent local program, if applicable);

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn in a dynamic startup environment;

  • Good communication skills in English and Portuguese (written and spoken);

  • Available to work in a hybrid regime in the Porto area.

It would be great if you would also have:

  • Basic Programming skills to create macros and automated tasks.
